1. “Hello, Francesca” (2005)
Synopsis: This sitcom is inspired by “The Addams Family” and follows the last of the vampire families traveling to South Korea by mistake. They met a salaryman and turned him into a vampire, promising they will turn him human again once they’ll be able to leave South Korea. During that time, the vampires must pretend to live like humans with their new family member. Cast: Shim HyeJin, Lee DooIl, Jung RyeoWon.
2. “Freeze” (2006)
Synopsis: JoongWon and Ehwa are two vampires, running a bar together while a serial killer is in town, scarring the population. When JoongWon receives a letter from his former lover, his life changes. He now has to look after his lover’s daughter as she passed away. Cast: Lee SeoJin, Park HanByul, Son TaeYoung.
3. “Vampire Prosecutor” (2011)
Synopsis: When the prosecutor TaeYeon becomes a vampire, he rejects his new life, and tries his best to still work as a prosecutor. He owns a particular power; he can see the past of the victims of murders but drinking their blood causes him extreme pain. In season 2, we follow TaeYeon, seven years after his transformation when he tries to solve his own mystery. Cast: Yeon JungHoon, Lee YoungAh, Lee WonJung.
4. “Vampire Idol” (2011)
Synopsis: It is a sitcom following a vampire prince from another planet, traveling to Earth to meet his idols. However, he soon realized that he is stuck on Earth with his three trusted servants. Far from depressed, he decided to become an idol as well. Cast: Lee Jung, Lee SooHyuk, Kim WooBin.
5. “Vampire Flower” (2014)
Synopsis: Inspired by the famous “Twilight” Saga, this K-Drama is based on a web novel by Shin JiEun. We follow the idyllic love between the vampire Louis and the human SeoYoung who try to find the legendary “Vampire Flower”, but Louis must resist SeoYoung extraordinary smelling blood. Cast: Seo JaeHyung, Kim HyeongKon, Mun JiHu.
6. “Orange Marmalade” (2015)
Synopsis: In a world where humans and vampires live together but are still quite hidden due to a peace treaty signed by the government, Mari is a vampire who falls in love with a popular student, JaeMin, known for his hate toward vampires. Based on a webtoon (“The Sweet Girl”), we discover the love story of those two souls. Cast: SeolHyun, Yeo JinGoo, Lee JongHyun.
7. “Blood” (2015)
Synopsis: JiSang is a hepato-pancreato-biliary surgeon hiding his identity as a vampire. To be able to work and not lose control over blood, he takes special pills. He then meets the niece of the chairman, doctor HyeSun, and they slowly but strongly fell in love with each other. Cast: Ahn JaeHyun, Ku HyeSun, Ji JinHee.
8. “Scholar Who Walks The Night” (2015)
Synopsis: It is a beautiful K-Drama set during the Joseon dynasty which follows YangSun, the daughter of a nobleman seeking help when her father is framed for a crime. She encounters then a scholar who is actually a vampire. He tries to help her when he learns that another vampire is going after the throne. Cast: Lee SooHyuk, Lee JoonGi, Lee YooBi.
9. “Immortal Goddess” (2016)
Synopsis: YooRi is a vampire who suffers from acquired immune deficit disorder and must take antiboy for her disease or she will age, like a human. YooRi is watched, as another vampire named SooJeong is looking for her. Cast: Wang JiWon, JaeHee, Lee JooYeon.
10. “Vampire Detective”(2016)
Synopsis: YoonSan is a private detective who was turned into a vampire while his was working. The K-Drama follows his past as he’s looking to understand his new life and tries to solve more cases thanks to his new abilities. Cast: Lee Joon, Oh JungSe, Lee SeYoung.
11. “The Sweet Blood” (2021)
Synopsis: Vampires have evolved in the 21st century. They are no longer drinking human blood from biting their necks. They drink a special vine they make out of a little blood from blood donation bags. The Vatican made a special agreement with the human world to punish those who are illegally drinking human blood. The power struggle among vampires over the finest wine with the blood of great men started. YeonSeo is a half-human and half-vampire. At her high school, MeoRu has such sweet blood that he attracts other vampires. Will she follow her instinct or her love? Cast: Song ChaeYoon, Kim EoJin, Kim JiWoong.
12. “Bite Sisters” (2021)
Synopsis: A fantasy drama with an unconventional background, in which three vampires, who have freely digested fashion trends from the Gyeongseong era to the modern era, live next to us in 2021. Cast: Kang HanNa, Kim YoungAh, Choi YuHwa.
13. “Kissable Lips” (2022)
Synopsis: JunHo is a vampire who wants to become a human and die normally. He searches for a pure-blooded human to drink pure blood as it is the only way to become a human. It is an LGBTQ+ drama.
