The actress revealed that while she was grateful about “Juvenile Justice” entering Netflix’s global top 10 chart, this kind of ranking wasn’t her primary goal. In her own words, via The Korea Herald, she was “more satisfied to see the active debate and online exchanges about the issues” portrayed in “Juvenile Justice”. All the members of the cast and crew, including the director, screenwriter, and staff members, worked towards presenting a neutral view of juvenile crime so that the concerns raised in the show are perceived as serious matters. Admittedly, Kim HyeSoo herself learned a lot about juvenile delinquency while working on this project and as such, she could approach her character with nuance and depth. As expected, “Juvenile Justice” opened up a significant discourse on juvenile offenders and the justice system, not just in South Korea but all over the world. Kim HyeSoo thus exclaimed proudly that she was “happy to see that we were able to achieve that goal”.
