On this installment of “The Game Caterers”, Na PD and crew visited Starship Entertainment. With legendary actors and singers gathered together in one place, the Starship family participated in a fun, eventful fall outing. All the episodes are currently out to watch on Channel Fullmoon. Participating actors include Song SeungHeon, Kim Beom, Lee DongWook, Lee KwangSoo, Yoo YeonSeok, Chae SooBin, Shin SeungHo, Son WooHyeon, Cheon YoungMin, and Ryu HyeYoung. For participating artists, there were members from IVE (YuJin, WonYoung, LIZ, Rei, GaEul), MONSTA X (JooHoney, MinHyuk, KiHyun, HyungWon), WJSN (Exy, BoNa, DaYoung, SooBin, SeolA), and CRAVITY (MinHee, JungMo, HyeongJun, SeongMin, SeRim), along with soloists Jeong SeWoon and K.will. Now, let’s take a look at some of the most unforgettable moments from “The Game Caterers 2 x Starship” that we keep replaying over and over again.
1. IVE’s Rei Cuteness Overload
Before heading out to the official location of their fall outing, the Starship family played a game of reverse rock-paper-scissors. If a team won, they would receive a delicious fruit snack set to eat on the bus. But if they lost, they would sweet potatoes and crackers instead.
When Na PD got to IVE’s Rei, their match consistently ended in a draw. This resulted in the two of them having to say ‘ribbit’ before continuing. Rei’s cuteness simply exploded and Na PD could not help but bend over in laughter, swayed by her charms. Even those watching were smitten by the idol and shouted in support. You can’t deny that Rei’s ‘ribbit’ is infectious and puts a huge smile on your face.
2. Team Introductions
When they finally reached the location of their fall outing, all participants were separated into different teams consisting of both actors and singers. Yoo YeonSeok, Lee DongWook, Song SeongHeon, and K.will were appointed as team leaders. They were then tasked to create a team name and cheer, with an introduction to follow afterwards. The team names were Yoo Nine, Team Root, Mean, and TSS. The idols showed that they can make any location their stage, while the actors were filled with a heartwarming awkwardness. With their endless charms and distinct team color, you cannot help but cheer for them all.
3. Black Hole WJSN’s Exy
The third game of “The Game Caterers 2 X Starship” was a music quiz. Teams were pitted against each other to guess various names of songs and their artists, with one player stepping out at the end of each round. The team with all members guessing a song correctly wins. The music quiz was split up into two segments, post 2010s and pre 2010s. WJSN leader Exy participated in both parts for her team, TSS. At the beginning of the game, she was a self-proclaimed master. However, she soon became a black hole for TSS and a shining light for their opponents. She would step up to answer, only to hilariously give hints which benefitted the other team. This is demonstrated perfectly in TSS’ last match against Team Root.
She unknowingly became a variety show genius, providing laughter from start to finish.
4. Actor Team 1 Finally Get A Win
Actor team 1 just could not catch a break all day long. The team consisted of Lee DongWook, Lee KwangSoo, Chae SooBin, Son WooHyeon, and Cheon YoungMin. Their loss streak began during lunch, as they played to receive additional side dishes to their meal. These losses continued deep into the night as they tried to guess K-Drama OSTs with late night snacks as the prize. When all hope seemed lost, they made an incredible comeback in the last round. Lee DongWook, the self-proclaimed black hole, beat out Song SeungHeon, receiving a raw fish platter and wine for his team, along with their very first win of the day. Actor team 1 erupted in shouts of joy, and rightly so. Lee DongWook certainly knows when to step up when it matters the most.
5. MONSTA X’s JooHoney’s Passionate Dancing
Perhaps one of the most anticipated parts of the program was the random play dance. On one hand, there were many that impressed with their fierce dance skills like Jeong SeWoon and IVE’s GaEul. On the other hand, there were those that proved to be extremely fun to watch, no matter how they performed. Examples of this would be Lee KwangSoo and Yoo YeonSeok. Then there’s MONSTA X’s JooHoney who is somewhere in between.
Despite not knowing the entire choreography, with his creativity and passion, he made the song his own and gained cheers from everyone watching. Even when he was about to disqualify himself from the game, the Starship family encouraged JooHoney to continue. Through his effort, he was able to make it into the top 5.
