2. Group name meaning
The group’s name ‘Lapillus’ is Latin for ‘A jewel that changes color depending on the light’. You can tell from their concept photos as each member has a flare of light in their picture, the kind that reflects off of a shiny surface. They have teased the line, “Shine your Lapillus,” to fans and clearly want to reveal their unique light to the world. Their logo motion video begins with a ray of light appearing in a dark background resembling a universe. The light divides into 6 branches with mysterious and grand background music. Each light symbolizes a member before changing to the group name, symbolizing them all.
3. The potential producer of their debut song (speculated)
Fans have been speculating about the producer who will be making Lapillus’ debut song. Although there is no official information that has been released, one producer called Bull$EyE shared about Lapillus on his Instagram story. Including the girls’ debut date, his story implied that he would be the producer behind their debut song. He has produced music for ALICE, T1419, Busters, MOMOLAND, and more, making fans curious about the type of song it will be.
